Russian female tennis


The women’s single tournament in Wimbledon 2004 was amazingly won by the 17-year old Russian Maria Sharapova. That year three out of four female Grand Slams were won by young Russians, and 8 players in the World top-15 held a Russian passport. Maria Sharapova has since conquered the world, because nature has showered her with beauty, long legs and huge sports potential. The popular tennis player has become the world’s highest paid athlete, making up to 100 million dollar every year.
